The Area
The villa is ideally located for many reasons:
- 10 minutes from Murcia (MJV) airport, which has daily fights via many budget airlines. (NOT under flight path!)
- 45 minutes from Alicante airport
- 15 minutes relaxed walk to beaches (there is 17 kilometres of beaches on the Mar Menor!)
- Bars and restaurants within 5 - 15 minutes walk.
- Los Alcazares is 10 minutes walk to pediestrian centre with bars, restaurants in a range of styles from Spanish to European, to Asian!
The area benefits from a nice balance of Northern European tourists as well as local Spanish inhabitants. The area is also popular with Spanish holiday makers - they must know what they like!
Fortunately, the area is not covered in high rise towers( the government have limited buildings to a maximum of 3 stories in the region). Therefore there is little of the 'bucket and spade' louts that can be found in other Spanish coastal towns. This does not mean that there is little to do as the area attracts a quality tourist that want a relaxing holiday coupled with plenty of activities at hand.
